First, to this dead thing on the side of the road. Upon close and disgusting evaluation, and having consulted with a few locals, it was determined that this was not, in fact, an alligator, but an armadillo:

Second, to my darling boy on clearance at the local WalMart. See him there on the bottom shelf, clearing away the other discount fodder? I snatched him up right away. I mean, he was such a good deal and all:

Third, to this hotel where we stayed with the pictures so nice they hung them twice. There isn't much more to say about this hotel than that. (We are so very, very happy to be in Tulsa. Have I mentioned that we're in luxury (insert here: HUGE) apartments?):
We are finally settled here in Tulsa, meaning the last cardboard box and bag of garbage have been cleared away. We're set up nicely in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment on the second floor. Leo loves the stairs despite what it does to my heart to see him crawling up and down them, and I'm enjoying the opportunity for more calorie-burn by pulling him up and down the stairs in the stroller for our nightly run. Luis is working incredibly hard and I am amazed by his good attitude, even in the heat of Oklahoma and extreme frustration of working in sales.

We are well and appreciate the love and support we have felt from family and friends. It is lonely for me with Luis gone 10-12 hours a day, so I am especially grateful for my fun and funny little boy, who is really not that little anymore. He walks everywhere and increases his vocabulary weekly. He is such a joy. I am so blessed with my boys...
Our love to you back home!! Call or even better, come visit, anytime!
